# Adding Gracy to Slack Channel

After adding Gracy to your Slack workspace, to get started you'll need to create a new Gracy channel or add Gracy to an existing public/private channel.&#x20;

### Option 1: Add Gracy to Existing Public/Private Channel from Slack <a href="#h_7312d11af9" id="h_7312d11af9"></a>

1. Go to the existing public/private channel.
2. Type `/invite` [`@gracy`](https://alocados-io.slack.com/admin/user_groups)  into the channel.
3. Once invited successfully, it will say that Gracy has joined the channel.

### Option 2: Create a New Gracy Channel <a href="#h_9295060c4c" id="h_9295060c4c"></a>

1. Inside Slack in the Channels Section, click the Add Channels
2. Name your channel (e.g., #gracy, #recognition, #celebrate).
3. Add people to the channel.
   1. Note: You can add individual members or select an entire existing channel that will add all members of that channel.
4. Click Next and the channel will be created.
5. Type `/invite` [`@gracy`](https://alocados-io.slack.com/admin/user_groups)  into the channel.
6. Once invited successfully, it will say that Gracy has joined the channel.
